Left/Right = move
Up = jump (tap to jump low, hold to jump high)
Down = duck (duck while landing to make a sudden stop)
Z = run
X = use lever (each side can trigger a different event)
X = grab Ropes and Poles while in air
Up/Down = climb ladders
Up = use doors
While using a ladder:
Left/Right will cause the player to jump sideways of the ladder. Doing so while pressing up will cause the player to jump up of a ladder.
While using a rope:
The player will automatically slide down the rope with no way to slow down. Letting go of the X button will cause the player to let go of the rope, so will pressing left, right or down. Pressing up will result in the player jumping up into the direction the player was sliding.
While using a pole:
While holding X, the player will hang onto a pole. Pressing left or right will result in the player jumping of sideways of a pole. Doing so while pressing up will cause the player to jump up from a pole in the same direction the player was facing. Pressing down will cause the player to slowly descend, and releasing down will slowly bring the player back to a stop.
- When jumping of a ladder, rope or pole, there will be a 0.5 second delay before the player can grab onto a new ladder, rope or pole.
- Checkpoints will only place the player to a set location. Enemies will always span in their original position.
This was a test environment for the development of my Character movement kit. Original build b1000 was released on April 30th, 2018.
