Bah, I forgot to mention that there is a minor clipping glitch with the ramp at the very start of the second stage.
You can get inside of the ground at that spot sometimes.
That and on one of the other levels I fell in a pit and it didn't restart or anything. Sorry for doublepost, I don't think it's possible to edit posts on here sadly.

I'm thinking all these comments must be towards an old version.
I played this for the first time just now and it's beautiful.
It plays more like a Sonic game than every Sonic clone I've ever played while retaining its own originality being its own game.
It's easy, fun, and amusing. I'm sure you're planning to make those speed up sensors into something more visually appealling than just lines right? This plays really well with my Xbox controller. This is my new favorite Stencyl game. But is that the dog from the Disney movie "UP"?

Hi guys, thanks a lot for the comments and input. I'd been working to fix a few things and some issues, as well as some added or expanded areas.
Hectate: That issue should be resolved now; I had originally had it so that you bounced higher when the jump key was pressed, but I realized that without any explanation, that was pointless, and I've since removed it.
Fraz: Unfortunately without any context, I can't be positive to just where you are having this issue, but hopefully with this version I've resolved it.
KungFuFurby: I assume you mean the blue/green things (as there are also blue areas in the game that do not, or rather should not, speed you up. I'm guessing it's also an issue with the first area. Part of what I'd been doing to fix it was sorting out some issues I'd inadvertently created in a few fixes that I did prior to my initial upload, and hopefully they should all be resolved by this point.
If anyone else has any further issues or anything, please let me know and I'll get to fixing them!
I've already got another level in the works as well as a greater number of animations for the props and actors so hopefully I'll be able to put that out soon :)

I can't get past the first couple bouncy bones... but the earlier levels reminded me of Sonic which is a plus.

I think those boost things might be a tad too small or that one gap a little too open. I can never seems to make it, I either overshoot the whole thing or only hit the first one and fall short

This game has me scratching my head... running into those blue things makes you go extra fast. I'm finding myself falling and not maintaining that speed when running into that stuff. Hmm...
I think I know of a way that allows the object to pass through without slowing down one bit, and I've used it for my own game...
