This is very reminiscent of the infamous TMNT's water level.. however, even that is more forgiving than this game. The fluidity of the controls are a 7/10, could use a bit of touch up. There is no restart button. Purple monsters stall at times making the game frustrating as the corners are impossible to turn unless you wait 30 seconds or more. Gameplay is somewhat monotonous, could be better if more than one path is available.
Good luck on your project!

Very difficult to get past those purple things! Maybe give yourself a certain number of lives? Also, the coral background hurts the eyes a bit after a while, maybe because of all the lines. Even one extra frame in between it switching back and forth might be a little more fluid.

I think you should call the game something else; something that reflects the gameplay more and would attract an audience.

I would look into figuring out how to have the game restart when the fish dies, so we wouldn't have to completely refresh the page every time.
