Description
One Life Each is a physics based puzzle game, much like my first game Gravitas. I have taken my initial formula and added lives and scoring.
Controls:
A + D or Arrow keys to rotate objects
Spacebar or Left Click the Box to release your Square
R to Reload the scene at the cost of your Square
My initial goal was to create an emotional attachment between the Player and their Square, and then challenge that attachment by giving the player opportunities to sacrifice lives for points. In the end, I think I burnt out a bit on this game as I am not as efficient with Stencyl yet as I could be. I have taken a break and now I am looking for feedback!
Things to be done for One Life Each:
- The pacing in the beginning is too slow, it needs to be changed.
- The game is really hard, even for me, and it may need to be tweaked.
- Lives sometimes are not tracked correctly, I think.
- I want to implement saving/loading.
- More levels, with a more even spread of points.
- Better UI
Since I haven't yet credited him, Kevin MacLeod composed the wonderful music.
