Created for Ludum Dare 26 in under 48 hours. Theme: Minimalism.
Persist is a tale of a small spirit trying to reach a mysterious Goddess to seek for forgiveness for his past sins, so he can move on to the higher plane of existence. Unfortunately, the Goddess isn't feeling very helpful, and the further you get, the more she takes steals of your body, removing your skills and making your quest more dangerous.
Can you reach salvation? Or are you doomed to lose all hope, and your whole existence, in the deep and dark sanctuary?

This game is fun and hard. Just the way I like it. Why do you have to explode in the water when you have no arms?

Excellent! The game plays with just the right amount of challenge. Love the minimalist pixel artwork. The story lets you in on just enough for a game of this length. Great job.

the game wasn't very hard but that could be because i played some REALLY hard platformers *super mario bros. 2 bad meomeries...* like spelunky but the story was quite how do i put this? great for being a flash game. I loved how the character was designed (game story might have been deeper if i didn't have soo much noise keeping me annoyed) overall i would say 8.5/10
