@Mihnutza sorry for late reply, well since the movements are periodical I used sine-function to calculate their position based on time or distance travelled.
I stopped using stencyl and went with unity instead if you want to see how far this project has gotten you can check it out at:

Stencyl is a GREAT tool but for very big projects it has its drawbacks so I went with unity on this one. Maybe I'll return to stencyl later on :)

Thanks! Most animation is done using sine-functions both for character and weapons. That makes it smoother than drawing animations. It also reduces the work on the artists side and the overall size of the game at the cost of some extra calculations :)
