Description
Check out the new Tiny Dangerous Dungeons! Timmy returns in a new Metroidvania adventure! http://www.stencyl.com/game/play/22 535
Dangerous Dungeons tells us a story about Timmy, a little thief- err, treasure hunter, who has arrived to a deep and dark dungeon, ready to face the dangers inside to claim the biggest treasure in the world. DD Has been made to look and play like old classic platformers, so it can be quite challenging, watch out! Awesome music by KungFuFurby!
INSTRUCTIONS:
Use arrow keys to move and Z to jump.
Activate Switches and pick up keys by simply touching them.
Press R to restart a stage.
Press P to pause the game.
Press Esc to return to the main menu.
Doors in the stage selection open when you reach their corresponding stage the first time in either normal gameplay or Time Attack. The game will save between stages, so you can always continue your adventure later without losing progress!
Time Attack Mode:
If you choose Time Attack from the main menu, the game skips the intro and all cutscenes, and the game begins right away from the Stage 1. In this mode, a counter appears to the top right corner, and it will count how long it takes you to clear the game. Returning to main menu or entering secret stage the normal way will terminate your time so be careful!
Secret Stages:
The game has three hidden levels that are required to be beaten for you to reach the definitely final stage. You will receive hints how to find them after you beat Stage 30. These stages are not entered from doors, but by exiting the screen from the right area.
The game has won the Summer Game Jam 2011 contest!

Man, That face on the rock(level 10) is really making me angry, the way it looks like it's says "Hahaha, I'm going to kill you, and you know it."

I'm taking a break- stuck at level 20 for now. Those boss levels are f*ing amazing! I wish they were every 5 levels! I found the one-room puzzle levels kind of easy so far, but those boss runs; so much fun!!!
Great job!

No the main character doesn't have a name, and I have not decided of it's gender either, that's why I avoid calling it him or her.
The sprite looks like a girl, but in the original concept art it looks like a boy. While designing the character I wrote a mockup name "Tim the Tiny Thief", I am not sure if I will go with it though.
New updates: more bugfixes and the character now moves the same speed on the ground and in the air, it makes precise jumping more easier.

if the collision box did fully match the avatar, it would make dodging traps much more harder and the game would need much more precise jumps. Spears would kill you even though they wouldn't even really touch you.
Besides the pretty tricky jump part right after the key, Stage 10 is actually pretty simple and short stage and I don't think there is any point in adding checkpoint. Just don't jump on every possible platform, some are there to fool you, and remember that the character can pass over three block height with single full jump. And yes, the character moves faster when you jump a lot.

GODS - I got to stage 10 (which is really worth getting to if you're reading this)... But get past stage 10? Get real. Requires pixel perfect jumping.
My only problems are:
Collision box doesn't match avatar
When jumping you move faster horizontally than when you're walking
My suggestion:
Add checkpoints - I never finished Super Meat Boy because there were no checkpoints in the longer levels, I would get over 1 minute into a level, die, and have to do the fricken thing over again. Then if I died before I was up to where I was, I would get frustrated, making me continue to perform poorly until I wanted to punch bandage girl in the face.
