Tutorial 1 - The Basics
CHANGES TO CURRENT STENCYL VERSION:
- Game Center is now Dashboard
- No longer need to make Actor Behaviors; can use "Events" tab instead
- Now need to use "Add an Event" at the top left to make the headings
- If using events, do not need to "Attach to Actor" (still needed with Behaviors though)
- Collisions Groups are now in the Settings button at the top of the page
- Collisions between Actors are now handled by collision events (use "Member of Group" and change the group to "Actors")

Kaiser: If the not being able to die is referencing going out of the screen, I show how to do that in tutorial 5.
As for anything else, can you send me screenshots (use the camera button on the bottom right of Stencyl) of your codings? I might be able to figure out what is going on then.

I have a few problems:
1. My enemies spawn twice randomly. Afterwards, they never appear.
2. I can't seem to die.
For both problems, I reassessed my code to match yours, yet it still persists. Any idea on what might be happening?

Pete: There are already 5 (actually 6, but the 6th is not uploaded yet... been waiting on the Stencyl team but about to post it anyways), and I plan on making a second entire set for SW2

this is the best tutorial I've found. it's better than any learning material built into the program. it really helped me get started making my own stuff in ways the actual program never teaches you. Please make more. :)

2b, I'm glad to have been of help. I agree that making things yourself allows for far much more learning than putting together presets.

Thank you so much! After completing the crash course, I was confused and had no idea what to do. Your tutorial helped me understand what I was doing instead of using a bunch of pre-made behaviors.

Prodigio, the "always" heading occurs with every frame. Thus, you are telling it to spawn those enemies every single frame PLUS more enemies every time the time loop occurs.
